We carefully monitor the situation and will adapt capacity, distancing and health measures. The lecture room offers optimal aeration.

IMPORTANT As of January 24, the vaccine pass is required in France in places receiving public, as will be the case for the Summer School, as well as on trains, intercity coaches and flights. If you were vaccinated in one of the following countries: European Union (EU) Member States, Albania, Andorra, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Moldavia, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, the United Kingdom, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine, San Marino and the Vatican City, you may obtain your EU digital Covid certificate, accepted in France. Information about how to obtain the vaccine pass outside the latter cases can be found here : https://www.sante.fr/how-to-obtain-a-french-health-pass

Lecture schedule

The first lecture will take place on Tuesday July 12. The last lecture will finish on Saturday July 23 noon. Most lectures take place in the morning (9-10.30 and 10.45-12.15), but there is no lecture on Sunday 17 (excursion day).

Short lectures and posters

Besides courses, participants of the school are invited to give a short lecture (35 minutes) or present a poster about their research work. Short lectures are held in the beginning of the afternoon and after dinner. Blackboards and a beamer will be available for these lectures. Poster sessions will be held in the afternoon outside lecture slots. We would like as many participants as possible, especially young researchers, to give a lecture or present a poster.

Note to members of CNRS

The school is organised jointly with CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research), and the registration of members of CNRS (researchers or students) is paid for by CNRS. .

How to come to Saint-Flour

The City of Saint-Flour is decomposed into a Lower Town ("Ville Basse") and an Upper Town ("Ville Haute"), and the Hôtel-Restaurant Ancien Grand Séminaire is on the slope between them. You can look at the Tourism Office web site.

By train: Saint-Flour can be accessed via Clermont-Ferrand. In Paris, trains to Clermont-Ferrand leave from Gare de Bercy. From Clermont-Ferrand, Saint-Flour is accessible by SNCF regional trains and coaches. Some coaches have an additional stop (called "les allées") in the upper town, which is closer to the Hôtel-Restaurant Ancien Grand Séminaire.

By air: Clermont-Ferrand airport has regular flights to Paris CDG and Paris Orly. See also Air France. From the airport, the railway station is accessible by city buses or regional TER trains (train stop "Aulnat Aéroport" on the line Clermont-Fd-Thiers-St-Etienne)

By coach: Clermont-Ferrand is connected to Lyon, Paris and other main cities by the following companies: Flixbus and BlaBlaCar.

By car: Saint-Flour is on the A75 motorway (Clermont-Ferrand - Béziers) 100 km south of Clermont-Ferrand. The access to the "rue des Planchettes" is from the road between the lower and upper towns.
